I've been wanting to get some fanart with my characters reenacting a scene from one of my favorite all time video game series, Ghosts 'n' Goblins. Hard to believe its been 35 years since I first saw my brother playing the original on the NES. Ever since then I've been fascinated by the series. From its dark and spooky themes and tones, to the epic music, to the sort of tongue-in-cheek humor, and of course the brutal difficulty. I always say, GnG was Dark Souls before Dark Souls was ever a thing. ![:D (Big Grin) :D]()

So, in honor of celebrating this milestone of my introduction to the series and the release of Ghosts 'n' Goblins Resurrection earlier this year, I decided this Halloween time I'd get a commission of fanart to show my love for the series.
And how better to do it than
. This was a special piece as it was the first on his new PC, which was why we waited to get this one done as his old PC wouldn't have been able to handle this one. Besides, it allowed for more detail, a cooler looking background, and some dynamic lighting to really bring the whole piece together. I'm so happy with how this one came out, it looks so good! ![Heart ]()

Here we have the fair Princess Prin-Prin (played perfectly by our resident damsel in distress himself, Jessie) being kidnapped by the series most iconic enemy (one who would get his own spin-off series), the Red Arremer or Firebrand as youn may also know him. But never fear! For Sir Arthur (played by Jessie's fiance Trevor) is in hot pursuit to rescue the fair maiden from captivity. Firebrand sure was able to rope Jessie up pretty quickly. Surprised they didn't do that to the real Prin-Prin. Then again Jessie's reputation precedes him wherever he goes and villains are compelled to tie him up. Will Sir Trevor be able to rescue Princess Jess-Jess or will the demons succeed in kidnapping the poor princess for their nefarious plots. Seriously, just read up on WHY the demons keep kidnapping Prin-Prin. From game to game it gets pretty wild.
Thanks so much to :scarlett-the-red: for this truly wonderful artwork! I love how cute Jessie looks in Prin-Prin's dress and the great ropework (as always
) I also really love his pose and action here. You can really feel him trying to fight his abductor to get to his hero, but the strength of the Red Arremer and Jessie's own lack of strength means he can only lean out so far, especially when all tied up and barely able to resist. I especially love how Trevor looks! the armor of course looks fantasic, but his pose truly evokes the awkwardness of Arthur in these games and how he's wearing a fake beard to really get into the role. Just hope he knows how to throw that lance and not hit his lover with it. And of course the Red Arremer looks perfect! Immaculate! Like he came straight out of the game to torment the two lovers. I also like how he might just be coping a feel on the flat chested femboy in his clutches. Sort of taunting Trevor perhaps?
